Magnetic tweezers: Actuate, Measure, and Control at molecular scale
- Multi-axis magnetic tweezer design and implementation.
- Magnetic force modeling and feedback control to allow trapping, tracking and dynamic manipulation of biological samples.
Three-dimensional particle tracking based on Computer Vision
- Developed a novel 3D visual sensor using a microscope and a CMOS camera.
- Real-time implementation, programmed in C++, achieved subnanometer resolution at 400 Hz
Six-Axis Magnetic Levitation and Motion Control
- Designed a novel two-axis actuator based on magnetic Lorentz force with improved linearity compared with traditional electromagnetic actuators.
- Developed an optical laser interferometric system for six-axis motion measurement.
- Implemented real-time feedback motion control to the stage, and nanometer motion resolution is achieved.
