FACILITY & EQUIPMENT
PMCL (Precision Measurement & Control Lab.) has 2500 sq. ft. of precision engineering space allocated in rooms W091, W096, W098, and W383 of Peter L. and Clara M. Scott Laboratory.
Laser Measurement:
- Two Newport vibration isolation air table systems.
- A 6 axis laser interferometric system with 2 ZMI-1000 class ZYGO linear/angular compact interferometers, 2 linear interferometers developed in house, and one two frequency laser head.
- One ZMI-4004 measurement boards and six ZMI-1000 measurement boards.
- A VME Cage to interface the laser interferometer cards.
- National Instruments VME-MXI-2 Cards to connect VME Cage to PC.
- Optical components such as beam expander, beam scanning mirrors, beam splitters, fold mirrors, plane mirrors, beamsplitting polarizers, half wave plates, quarter wave plates and retro-reflectors.
- An assortment of optical positioning equipment such as risers, prism holders, lens mounts, rotary and translational stages, and tilt platforms.
- A 2-axis acousto-optic deflector and two VCO driver
- A 2-axis Acousto-optic deflector and a dual VCO driver
- Sanyo KSS-210B laser probes.
- Thorlabs diode laser system and Thorlabs optical power-meter
- A diode-pumped CW CrystaLaser with the wavelength of 1064nm and the maximum output power of 1W.
