Research

Research interests include: internal combustion engines, linear/nonlinear wave dynamics, noise and pollutant emission control, combustion, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer. The objectives of the current analytical, computational, and experimental studies are to understand and model the unsteady physics in the induction/in-cylinder/exhaust systems and to design for improved engine performance, noise characteristics, and emissions. Current sponsors of his work include Ford Motor Company, Chrysler LLC, Owens Corning Science and Technology Center, and Hyundai Motor Company.
