Peter Brockmeier, James Falk, Michael Quade, Rebecca Routson, and Julie Thompson all recently received their B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. Peter also minored in Biomedical Engineering, and Rebecca minored in Physics, too. Thomas Maack received his Masters in both Mechanical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering. Welcome to The Ohio State Neuromuscular Biomechanics Lab. Our goal is to provide a scientific basis for the treatment of human movement disorders. To reach this goal, we apply mechanical engineering principles to clinical problems to study musculoskeletal mechanics, design medical devices and procedures, and seek to optimize the functional outcome of clinical and surgical interventions.Thank you for taking the time to visit.

On April 1, Julie Thompson was awarded a National Science Foundation Predoctoral Fellowship. This prestigious award provides Julie with three years of tuition and stipend. Additionally, both Julie and Becca Routson won 1-year University Fellowships from Ohio State. Congratulations Julie and Becca!!

OSU NMBL is formed
The Ohio State Neuromuscular Biomechanics Lab was officially formed in the spring of 2007 with 1 MS student, 3 BS/MS students, and 2 undergraduate student researchers. Our lab is located in the new Scott Laboratory, and we collaborate with clinicians in Orthopaedics, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation to address basic science and clinical problems.
