Slow printing from Matlab and Adobe products:  Please delete all of your network printers then logout and back in again.  Printers are automatically created when you log in.  The programs try to enumerate all printers and take a while to time out on printers that no longer exist.  Please see the lab monitor if you need help.

Microsoft Viso and Project - This software needs to be activated. Follow the prompt to activate then exit and start the program again. If left unactivated you will not be able to save your work. There is no need to register the product if asked.

Autodesk Inventor - The first time you run Inventor it will ask where you want to store temporary files. Set the directory to your Z drive or c:\temp. The program will crash when started if you fail to set the directory to a path you can write to.

Use the ANSYS product launcher to start an ANSYS product.  Set the working directory to a directory you can write to.  c:\temp or z: are two possible choices.

Microsoft Word and Excel - Enable macros to print or copy and paste between applications.  This should only need to be set when  your roaming profile is reset.
